Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum needed to run your safari, and we do not sell it. This page says exactly what we hold and why.

What we collect

Booking details: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country of residence, hotel or pickup address, party size, dates and any notes you send us.

Passport or NIC number, because the Department of Wildlife Conservation requires it on entrance tickets and checks it at the gate.

Payment records: the amount, method and gateway reference. Card numbers never reach our servers — the payment gateway handles them.

Basic website analytics: pages viewed and rough location, so we know which activities people are actually looking for.

Why we hold it

To issue tickets and vouchers, to brief your driver, to reach you if a park closes, and to meet Sri Lankan tax and tourism record-keeping rules.

If you opted in, to send occasional seasonal sighting reports. One click unsubscribes and we do not ask why.

Who sees it

Your driver or skipper sees your name, pickup point and phone number. The Department of Wildlife Conservation receives the names and document numbers needed for tickets. Our payment gateway and email provider process data on our instructions.

Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade traveller data.

How long we keep it

Booking and tax records: seven years, as required by law. Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe. Analytics: 14 months, aggregated.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. Email privacy@safarisrilanka.lk and we reply within seven days.

Photos and reviews

Photos you submit with a review may be published beside it. Tell us and we will remove them. We never publish your document number, phone or address.
