These terms cover every safari, cruise, trek and transfer booked through Safari Sri Lanka, operated by A Visitor Safari & Tours (PV 00219876), Tissamaharama, Sri Lanka.
A booking exists once you receive a voucher with a reference number. Until then, a request is only a request — jeeps, boats and camp tents are limited and are allocated in the order confirmations are issued.
The traveller name on the voucher must match the passport or NIC presented at the park gate. Wildlife officers refuse entry on mismatched documents and we cannot refund a refused entry.
Prices shown by the calculator are inclusive of the 18% government tax. Park entrance tickets, vehicle permits and service charges are set by the Department of Wildlife Conservation, not by us, and are passed through without a markup.
Ticket rates differ by nationality tier (Sri Lankan, SAARC, non-SAARC) as published by the Department. If the Department revises a fee between booking and travel, we charge or refund the difference at cost.
Foreign-currency amounts are converted at the rate shown at the time of booking. Card payments are settled in Sri Lankan rupees.
Unless your voucher says otherwise: a licensed vehicle or boat, a driver or tracker, the stated duration, drinking water, and the pickup described on the voucher.
Sightings are never guaranteed. We publish honest sighting rates per park and per drive; we do not promise any single animal, and no refund is due for a quiet drive.
Follow the driver, tracker or skipper at all times. Do not leave the vehicle inside a national park, do not feed or bait animals, and do not use flash near nesting turtles or nocturnal wildlife.
Arrive at the pickup point at the stated time. We wait 20 minutes; after that the drive counts as taken, because the gate slot is lost.
Tell us at booking about pregnancy, heart or back conditions, reduced mobility, or children under six. Some drives and treks are unsuitable and we would rather move you than have you turn back.
Parks close at short notice for weather, flooding, fire risk or animal management. When that happens we move you to another date, another park of the same standard, or refund in full — your choice.
We may substitute a vehicle, boat or guide of equivalent standard without notice.
Wildlife tourism carries inherent risk. We carry the insurance required by Sri Lanka Tourism for passengers in our vehicles and boats. We are not liable for personal belongings, camera equipment, missed onward flights, or losses arising from your own failure to follow instructions.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
